This morning I met an older couple living on the water in southern Hancock County. At the back of thier lot, next to the water, I noticed some signs posted on a water oak tree indicating high water marks from several hurricanes. They were nice enough to let me snap a picture. Shown are Katrina, Camille, and Betsy. They told me that during Ike, the water came up just about even to the Betsy mark. Click on the picture to see a larger version, and the Camille and Katrina marks speak for themselves.
